Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of BovaNova software and related network interfaces. By installing or using the wallet, website, or related tools, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to enter this agreement. You may not use the services if applicable law prohibits it.
2. Non-custodial wallet — you control the keys
BovaNova is a non-custodial interface. We do not hold, custody, or recover your private keys or passwords. You alone are responsible for:
- Safeguarding passwords, devices, and exported key backups
- Verifying addresses before sending
- Understanding that lost keys or forgotten passwords generally mean permanent loss of access to associated assets
3. Experimental / test networks
Much of BovaNova infrastructure may operate as testnet, development, or experimental software. Tokens on test networks may have no monetary value. Software may contain bugs, forks, or downtime. Do not rely on it for production funds or regulated financial activity unless and until you independently verify suitability.
4. No advice; no exchange
Nothing in the services is investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. The mobile wallet facilitates self-custody transfers via RPC; it is not a licensed exchange, broker, bank, or custodian. We do not guarantee prices, liquidity, or confirmation times.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the services to violate law, infringe others’ rights, attack infrastructure, launder funds, evade sanctions, or interfere with other users. We may restrict access to hosted endpoints for abuse or legal compliance.
6. Permissions
Optional device permissions (such as camera for QR scanning) are used only for the features described in-app and in the Privacy Policy. You may deny permissions; some features will be unavailable.
7. Third-party services
RPC nodes, seeds, hosting, and OS app stores are third parties. Their terms and availability are outside our control. You are responsible for the RPC URL you configure.
8. Intellectual property
BovaNova branding, site content, and app UI are provided for use of the services. You may not misuse marks or redistribute proprietary assets except as allowed by open-source licenses that accompany specific components.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE IS ERROR-FREE OR THAT ASSETS WILL BE SECURE AGAINST ALL THREATS.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOVANOVA AND ITS OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF FUNDS, KEYS, PROFITS, OR DATA, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED US $50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify BovaNova and its operators against claims arising from your use of the services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law.
12. Changes & termination
We may update these Terms by posting a new effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the services at any time by deleting the app and local data.
